Several more explosives or otherwise suspicious packages have been found and halted addressed to the residences of former President Obama, former President Clinton, the White House and CNN offices.
The Secret Service released a statement declaring that the Clintons and Obamas were at no risk of receiving these packages: “The packages were immediately identified during routine mail screening procedures as potential explosive devices and were appropriately handled as such.”
Associated Press reports that the packages were identified and detained at Joint Base Bolling in Washington, D.C..
These reports are eerily similar to the explosive device recently sent to billionaire George Soros, who lives within 20 minutes of the Clinton Home.
lives While a connection between the incidents may exist there has been no official mention of it.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders released a statement on the matter:
“We condemn the attempted violent attacks recently made against President Obama, President Clinton, Secretary Clinton, and other public figures. These terrorizing acts are despicable, and anyone responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. The United States Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies are investigating and will take all appropriate actions to protect anyone threatened by these cowards.”
