‘Thoughts and Prayers’ Not Enough According to Chris Cumo

After America’s latest mass shooting, Chris Cuomo stated that the response of “thoughts and prayers” mocks those who lose loved ones.

Equating mass shootings as the country’s “new normal” Cuomo stated, “In California, we just had a historic shooting. It was the worst mass shooting — in a week.”

The CNN anchor also blasted the National Rifle Association for it frequently predictable remarks. “And if you push any of their tendencies on this, you will get the ugliest side of political discourse imaginable,” Cuomo said of the association.

“Can we do better than this?” Cuomo asked. “You know the answer is ‘Yes.’ You know the damn answer is yes, so why don’t we?”

“You know the answer to the question that matters — we can do better. And we all have to live with doing nothing,” Cuomo said. “And the next time is coming. And more and more, you, me, our leaders — we’re all becoming part of the problem.”

“Think and pray on that.”
