MSNBC was dealt a blow when one of the network’s reporters, broadcasting from Tijuana, Mexico, stated that most of the migrants are men.
Over the weekend as many as 500 migrants violently stormed the border. This prompted Border Patrol to use tear gas to halt the illegal migration.
The use of tear gas however, prompted immediate backlash as it was reports claim the caravan is mostly women and children.
Yet when Gadi Schwartz reported on-site, he caused a stir by stating the caravan is NOT mostly women and children.
Schwartz continued to explain that the caravan was made up of mostly men and that they in fact were not seeking asylum.
“The truth is, the majority of the people that are part of this caravan … the majority of them are men,” Schwartz said.
He continued that “some of these men have not articulated that need for asylum. Instead, they have talked about going to the United States for a better life and to find work.”
