A Little Gas Leads To Armed Encounter

In what should have been a simple faux pas, a woman was arrested in Florida after brandishing a knife on a man who took offense at her public expulsions.

The incident occurred at a Dollar General store where Shanetta Yvette Wilson, 37, was in line. After relieving her internal pressure, fellow patron John Walker took some offense leading to a verbal altercation “in reference to the defendant farting loudly,” the complain affidavit shows from Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

This lead to Wilson allegedly brandishing a small “lock back knife” that she threatened she would use to “gut” Walker. The police report then states that Wilson pulled back her right hand, holding the knife, in a position to attack.

The affidavit also claims Walker was “in fear that he was going to be stabbed by the defendant.”

Wilson was later identified and arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and her bail was set at $2,500.
