Tucker Carlson of Fox News didn’t do himself any favors when he suggested immigrants make America “dirtier and poorer.”
During a monologue Carlson bemoaned how leaders are calling for Americans to accept more immigrants. He said:
“We have a moral obligation to admit the world’s poor, they tell us, even if it makes our own country poorer, and dirtier, and more divided. Immigration is a form of atonement. Previous leaders of our country committed sins ― we must pay for those sins by welcoming an endless chain of migrant caravans. That’s the argument they make.”
Unfortunately, those comments caused advertiser Pacific Life to step back from Carlson’s show, after they were the first endorsement to air following his comments.
This isn’t the first time a Fox host has lost finances due to on air remarks. A similar circumstance occurred when Laura Ingraham mocked Parkland shooter David Hogg.
