Progressives do not want to make amends with conservatives, a fact that is being demonstrated as they force former Vice President Joe Biden to backtrack comments he made about current Vice President Mike Pence.
Biden was making a speech at the Chuck Hagel Forum in Global Leadership when he crossed his entire party. The crime? He said Mike Pence was a ‘decent guy.’
“The fact of the matter is it was followed on by a guy who’s a decent guy, our vice president, who stood before this group of allies and leaders and said, ‘I’m here on behalf of President Trump,’ and there was dead silence. Dead silence,” Biden said recalling Pence’s appearance at the Munich Security Conference.
An outcry from the left immediately ensued online. As Biden was torn down for honest observations, he eventually succumbed to the barrage after actress Cynthia Nixon attacked him on Twitter.
It’s hard to tell what is more shameful, that the division of parties is so severe that an underwhelming compliment can’t be made or that a former Vice President can’t be bothered to stand up for his own beliefs.
