President Donald Trump has joined the international community in declaring that all U.S. Boeing 737 MAX 8 planes be grounded after a second devastating crash involved the particular model.
“Those planes are grounded effective immediately,” Trump informed White House reporters. “The safety of the American people, of all people, is our paramount concern.”
The United States was the last hold out for the plane after Canada announced it was taking the plane off the runway.
However, Trump is still showing confidence that Boeing will discover the cause of the problem.
Countries began to call for the plane to be grounded after one of the MAX 8s in Ethiopian Airlines crashed shortly after take off, killing all 157 people on board.
