The tweet was a response to the pressures he was facing from all sides as Election Day draws near.
The Left have been attacking Trump since day one and everything bad that has happened, they have blamed him. Democrats are making Trump out to be a bad guy when he has specifically empathized with victims of police brutality and has also issued an executive order for police reforms.
On the right, some conservative commentators like Tucker Carlson have been chastising Trump as well. Carlson stated that he does not believe that Trump has done enough to stop unrest in the country.
Trump may have tweeted what he did because he felt that he was the only person supporting himself, but there are people that support him and want him to win the upcoming election.
